Merlier wins second straight Tour de France stage after late sprint surge

Tim Merlier appeared out of contention in the final meters but made a long-range sprint to overtake his rivals, finishing first ahead of Ethiopia’s Biniam Girmay in second and Dutchman Olav Kooij in third.
